With school ending and summer before us, we have lots of opportunities to provide our children different learning opportunities and experiences.
I have fond memories of summer camps, time at the community pool, reading and playing until after sunset in our neighborhood.
Jessica Lahey reminds us why free play is the best way for kids to learn self-regulation, a critical life skill, in her article in the Atlantic, "Why Free Play is the Best Summer School."
If your child is bored, great! Let them learn to be creative in unstructured play this summer.
